Malofeev crushed WEX
Representatives of the Initiative Group to investigate the case of the collapsed ($450 million worth of cryptocurrencies disappeared) WEX cryptocurrency exchange became aware of the investigators’ intentions to make concessions to Konstantin Malofeev.
It was decided to transfer the arrested cryptocurrency to the nominal owner of the exchange, ex-fighter of the Donetsk People’s Republic Dmitry Khavchenko (Seaman). The likelihood of subsequent compensation for damage to affected users of the site and the possibility of recovering lost funds is close to zero.
Meanwhile, the criminal case is nearing its finale, currently the main suspect Alexei Bilyuchenko, now Ivanov, is getting acquainted with the materials of the case, within the framework of which it is planned to transfer all the stolen cryptocurrency to the accounts of Moryachok. And here we can clearly see the corruption component of our law enforcement system, which puts personal selfish interests at the forefront. To date, not a single exchange user who has lost his funds as a result of fraud has been recognized as a victim, moreover, Khavchenko, who bought the site for a modest $20,000, is recognized as such. Of course, one should not be surprised, Malofeev needs to somehow compensate for the lost assets in the United States as a result of the imposed sanctions.
