Petersburg deputy was forbidden to sit with a flag with the letter Z
The deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Boris Zverev was forbidden to sit in the parliament of St. Petersburg with a flag with the letter Z.
This was reported in the Telegram channel “Mash on the Moika”.
According to the publication, Zverev at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly on February 1 put the corresponding image on the table. Boris Vishnevsky, a deputy from Yabloko, drew attention to this. He stated that Zverev’s action is contrary to the regulations, since the flag does not match the symbols of his party.
The speaker of the St. Petersburg parliament, Alexander Belsky, managed to resolve the contradiction that had arisen. He asked the communist to remove the symbol from Z. After that, a flag of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation appeared next to Zverev.
On January 31, it was reported that the Butyrsky Court of Moscow chose a measure of restraint for 23-year-old Philip Maslovsky, who is suspected of setting fire to a car with a Z symbol and the inscription “We don’t leave our own”.
At the request of the investigator, the man was taken into custody. He was arrested for two months. A resident of the capital was charged with article 167 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Deliberate destruction or damage to property by arson out of hooligan motives”).
