People’s Deputy Trukhin escaped from the court abroad – lawyer
The Anti-Corruption Court was unable to hold a hearing in the case of a member of the Ukrainian Parliament due to his business trip.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court adjourned until February 15 a meeting on the charges of People’s Deputy Alexander Trukhin in connection with his business trip abroad. The defender of the politician asked not to disclose the country.
This decision was made on January 30 by the VAKS, reports “Word and deed“.
Skeleton.Info: At the same time, it is obvious that both Trukhin’s defender and the people’s deputy himself were well aware of the date of the meeting of the VAKS, and they deliberately planned an “important business trip abroad” for this date.
Trukhin’s lawyer provided the court with documents confirming that the people’s deputy was on a business trip abroad from January 30 to February 12. At the same time, the lawyer asked not to disclose this country in connection with the broadcast of the court session. The politician himself went abroad on Friday 27 January.
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office said that there are grounds for postponing the meeting. Therefore, he asked to determine the reasons for the importance of not appearing at the next meeting in order to wait for other documents.
The meeting was adjourned until 15:00 on February 15.
As you know, VAKS defined the maximum amount of bail to the people’s deputy Trukhin. He was also assigned the following duties: to arrive at every request to the prosecutor, the investigator of the judge or the court; inform the prosecutor or the court about the change of his place of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating about the circumstances set out in the report of suspicion in this criminal proceeding with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky, the heads of the National Police, the Patrol Police Department, the Patrol Police Department in Kyiv of the Patrol Police Department and witnesses.

Recall, the Prosecutor General agreed on the suspicion to People’s Deputy Trukhin, which was prepared by the NABU detective and the SAPO prosecutor. According to investigators, in August 2021, the people’s deputy offered an unlawful benefit to patrol policemen in the amount of 150,000 without specifying a monetary unit for allowing him to leave the scene of an accident that occurred with his participation. And although he did not specify what currency he was talking about, the mere fact of such an offer, regardless of the amount offered, is a punishable corruption crime.
