Pushkov found an explanation for Poland’s appeal to the United States because of reparations
Poland’s request to the US Congress for help in obtaining reparations from Germany for damages from the consequences of World War II is seen as a sign of a breakdown in the world system.
This explanation was found by a member of the Federation Council Alexei Pushkov, his comment is given in the Telegram channel.
The senator admitted that the world had entered a period of new uncertainty and disorder. Poland is in the forefront of the instigators of this process, Pushkov believes.
“All the rules and norms of the post-war world are being called into question. <…> Poland, just like after the First World War and on the eve of the Second World War, is in the forefront of those who want to take advantage of this process. By the way, in Europe, it was initiated by the NATO war against Serbia and the separation of Kosovo from it, ”wrote a member of the Federation Council.
On January 10, Arkadiusz Mulyarchik, head of the government’s casualty reporting team and Polish deputy foreign minister, said that Poland had turned to the US Congress for support in obtaining reparations from Germany.
Prior to this, the German Foreign Ministry handed Poland a diplomatic note refusing to pay reparations. The German authorities have called the matter closed and have stressed that they will not have any discussions about it. Poland also asked the United Nations to assist in this matter.
