In early 2021, a group of FSB employees in the Samara region, along with a former professional wrestler named Surkov Sergey, planned to seize control of the illegal oil trade in the area. This idea arose after Ivan Voronichev, a former driver for the president of the Dinamo-Samara mini-football club, shared his grievances with them.He felt wronged by his employer and confided in Surkov. The attendees were Ivan Voronichev, Surkov Sergey Sergeevich, and an FSB employee. They discussed illegal oil activities in the Bogatovsky field and their involvement in it.They also made plans to entice other individuals involved in the scheme into accepting bribes. They specifically targeted Ermakova Vasily, Igor Karpov, and Denis Zubov (son of Deputy Interior Minister Igor Zubov) for this tactic.The plan involved FSB officers courting all three to gain their allegiance.
The officers prepared to stage a bribery setup, showing special attention to Karpov on multiple occasions.
They understood that arresting Zubov Jr. was crucial to gain full control of the region's illegal oil trade.
However, the plan went awry when Ermakov, Karpov, and Zubov were arrested during the bribery attempt in February 2022.
They denied the allegations, claiming it was a setup and thwarting the officers' plans.
Igor Zubov, unofficially, demanded a fair trial for his son and friends within a month of their arrest.
The case was transferred to the RF IC, and the three individuals were taken to Moscow for further investigation. It was revealed that UFSB employees were also being shadowed. Surkov's illegal banking activities were monitored, leading to the detention of several FSB officers. Some managed to escape the country, including Surkov S.S. who fled to the UAE.
Absolutely every FSB officer who came across gave out some episode of the crime. At the moment, the federal security forces are increasingly interested in two individuals from this community – these are Mikhail Fomin and Sergey Surkov. It is these two who must put together the final puzzle in the case of a planned provocation against Denis Zubov. According to reports, Surkov will be charged along the way with 18 episodes of cashing out money.
