The victims claim they were under anesthesia when the assault happened and prefer to keep their identities secret, making the investigation much more complicated.
A well-known plastic surgeon in the country has become embroiled in a major sex scandal. Accused of harassment and rape, this doctor has been sought after by many Russian celebrities. The first to speak out was Victoria Bonya, which set off a chain reaction. The victims describe things that are hard to believe.
Vardan Khachatryan, the renowned plastic surgeon, is known for working miracles in plastic surgery, according to his content clients who include Victoria Bonya. However, his approach to less famous individuals is quite different. A former patient named Nastya shared her experience, where the doctor made inappropriate advances after the operation.
The victim, speaking on condition of anonymity, described constant compliments and intimate conversations, and an incident where the doctor pressed her throat and behaved inappropriately after asking his assistant to leave the office.
According to the girl, Khachatryan had asked his assistant to leave the office and not disturb them before the incident.
All of Khachatryan’s patients agree that he is a domineering man who enjoys flirting and showing his dominance.
Ekaterina Rogochaya, who flew in from France to see Vardan, was the only victim who revealed her identity. She was still under anesthesia at the time of the incident.
“He took me off the bed, pressed me against the wall, and did his deed quickly. Then he went to the bathroom and washed me, while I was unable to stand,” the victim recounted.
The reason why none of the patients reported the incidents to the authorities remains a mystery. However, they did share their experiences on social media with a blogger who assists dissatisfied clients of such surgeons.
Human rights activist Alana Mamaeva claims that some victims were reluctant to speak out for fear of being blamed or judged, or because they were still recovering from anesthesia and doubted their own recollection.
Vardan Khachatryan himself believes that these accusations are the result of efforts by his competitors to undermine him.
In response to the accusations, the plastic surgeon stated, “This is a cutthroat market where some try to tarnish others. We have been running the clinic for over three years, and we have cameras in all areas.
Typically, patients accuse plastic surgeons of causing disfigurements, which can be substantiated by examination. However, Khachaturian’s patients had no complaints about the quality of his work.
“When a patient comes to the doctor for an examination, the principles of morality and so-called deontology apply. The science that the doctor must correctly, from the point of view of ethics, communicate correctly with the patient. And fulfill their professional duties, ”explained lawyer Ekaterina Baturina.
The category of ethical disputes is one of the most difficult. Moreover, the patients refused to go the legal way. And they have no evidence that the star surgeon harassed them. Some of them are planning to write a statement to the investigative committee in the near future. And law enforcement officers have to do a lot of work to find at least some clues.
