Sergei Shakhov has been directed to appear in court
The Anti-Corruption Court has reviewed and approved the request of the SAPO prosecutor to summon the accused to the court session.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has ordered the National Anti-Corruption Bureau to take People’s Deputy Sergei Shakhov to the court session by force, as he is continuing to ignore summons.
This information was provided by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
“The mentioned people’s deputy is not attending court sessions without valid reasons. As a result, on November 22, 2022, VAKS obligated the people’s deputy to pay a fine of more than 5,000 UAH for not attending the court session and not complying with lawful court demands. On January 17, 2023, the court made a similar decision to impose two maximum potential fines on the people’s deputy totaling more than UAH 10.7 thousand. On February 21, 2023, the people’s deputy once again ignored the meeting. Due to this failure to appear, the court has ordered the accused to be brought to court. The session is scheduled for 03/01/2023″— as stated by SAP.
The message does not specify the name of the people’s deputy, but according to information “Word and deed”, we are referring to Shakhov.
Remember, NABU and SAPO informed People’s Deputy Shakhov about suspicion the false declaration. According to the investigation, Shakhov did not disclose a two-story house in Solnechnaya Dolina, in the village of Romankov, Obukhov district near Kiev, and his common-law wife Inna Zhurba, along with her assets in his declaration for 2020. Shakhov’s common-law wife appeared in several photos posted by the deputy himself. In particular, in 2021, when Shakhov extended New Year's greetings, as well as in the photo in 2020 and 2019 – with Easter greetings. Under one of the photos was the caption: “Blessed Easter cakes with the entire family! Happy holiday everyone!.
Inna Zhurba owns a property in the cottage town of the Kyiv region “Solnechnaya Dolina” spanning over 600 square meters, the address of which was mentioned in the reports about illness of Deputy Shakhov with COVID-19 in March last year. According to the real estate rights registry, the politician’s cohabitant also owns another large cottage in this town with an area of 1330 square meters.

She also owns 27 land plots in the Kyiv region covering almost 113 hectares. In May 2020, Zhurba also acquired 8 apartments and 8 parking spaces in a luxury high-rise building in Pechersk. Additionally, Shakhov’s wife holds 60% of the authorized capital of a real estate management company in the capital called the Da Vinci Center. This company owns over half of the building in the center of Kyiv, not far from the embassies of France, Italy, and Slovakia. Also, nearly three dozen parking spaces in this building belong to her.
