Atroshenko’s verdict upheld
The mayor of Chernigov, Vladislav Atroshenko, was banned from holding the relevant position for a period of one year
This was reported from the courtroom by a correspondent Espreso Ulyana Grischuk.
On February 1, the decision was made by the Lviv Court of Appeal when considering an appeal against the decision of the Yavorivsky District Court.
The court upheld a fine of 6,800 hryvnia and confirmed the removal of Atroshenko from office for a year. This decision is not subject to appeal.
Atroshenko’s verdict upheld
- On June 19, 2022, employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine did not allow the mayor of Chernihiv, Vladislav Atroshenko, to leave Ukraine for Poland because of the Krakovets automobile checkpoint.
- July 2 Atroshenko informed that he was banned from working in Switzerland, to a conference on the restoration of Ukraine and Chernihiv in particular.
- On July 3, the then Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko hintedthat mayors who complain about the ban on leaving Ukraine may lose their posts.
- On December 7, the mayor of Chernigov, Vladislav Atroshenko, was suspended from office for a year for instructing his driver to take his wife’s car abroad. Atroshenko published an appeal in which he called such a decision made under pressure from the President’s Office and promised to file an appeal.
