The Pechersky District Court of Kiev has scheduled a hearing for January 17 to choose a measure of restraint for the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. On the morning of this day, the fifth president is to return to Ukraine. OLIGARCH learned about this from a report by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the State Bureau of Investigation.
Law enforcement officers will ask the court to take Poroshenko into custody.
“On January 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., an application for a preventive measure in the form of detention in respect of Petr Alekseevich Poroshenko will be considered,” the SBI said in a statement.

As previously reported, Poroshenko will fly to Ukraine from Warsaw on Monday morning.
