Ex-deputy Kharkavy extended obligations
The Anti-Corruption Court considered and partially granted the request of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term of the duties assigned to the accused.
The Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court extended until March 19 the term of duties assigned to the former deputy of the Khmelnytsky Regional Council Mykola Kharkavy, who was found guilty of fraud and sentenced to seven years in prison.
This decision was made on January 16 by a panel of judges of the AP VAKS, reports “Word and deed“.
“Satisfy the prosecutor’s request. Extend the term of the duties assigned to the accused (Mykola Kharkavy – ed.), for a period from January 20, 2023 to March 19, 2023 inclusive: not to leave Ukraine without the permission of the court; leave a passport (passports) for traveling abroad, other documents giving the right to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine in storage with the relevant state authorities; notify the prosecutor and the court about a change in the place of residence and/or stay, and/or place of work“, the decision says.
Formerly AP VAKS stopped hearing of the case of Kharkavy in connection with his mobilization. The case is still on hold.
As you know, VAKS acknowledged ex-deputy Kharkavy guilty and sentenced him to seven years in prison.
Ex-deputy Kharkavy extended obligations
Recall, by versions charges, Harkavy committed incitement to a completed attempt to offer and provide an unlawful benefit to an official, namely the director of a communal educational institution, in the amount of 50 thousand dollars. According to the investigation, the deputy promised to help renew the contract with this director and finance the educational institution’s capital expenditures in the amount of more than UAH 20 million, including for the construction of a sports hall.
