An audit by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption confirmed that the people’s deputy from the Batkivshchyna faction Mikhail Volynets did not declare the use of an SUV. OLIGARCH learned about this from a message from Radio Liberty. The NAPC established that Volynets had been using a Toyota Highlander for more than six months. Thus, he indicated in the declaration false information in the amount of 1.1 million hryvnia, which are signs of a crime under Art. 366-2 of the UKU. The inspection of the NAPC revealed “permanent routes associated with the place of residence of the subject of the declaration, his place of work and the property that belongs to his mother.” Volynets, in his explanations to the NAPC, noted that he did not drive this car, but uses the “Kyiv card” and prefers public transport, sometimes “uses the official transport of the Verkhovna Rada in connection with his stay on business trips – by rail.” Earlier, “Schemes” recorded that Volynets used a Toyota Highlander during January-February 2021, but did not indicate an SUV in the declarations for 2019 or 2020. Since September 2019, the car has been registered to the son of a people’s deputy, Andriy Volynets. The results of the inspection of the NAPC regarding the people’s deputy were transferred to the UCP.
