The Security Service of Ukraine reported suspicion to three people who organized an attempted raider seizure of the Buchavodokanal utility company in the Kyiv region in the summer of 2022. Among them is the leadership of a local volunteer formation, the SBU press service reported. Telegram.
According to the investigation, in August, ten armed representatives of the volunteer battalion illegally broke into the territory of the mentioned facility, which is owned by the Buchansk city council, and began to block the movement of four workers.
“Threatening with physical violence, the raiders did not allow public utilities to maintain the water station and pumps, which led to interruptions in the city’s water supply (Buchi – ed.)“, the message says.
The Security Service of Ukraine has already identified all the participants in the crime.
After conducting searches at the addresses of the defendants, at the headquarters of the volunteer battalion and the premises of the Irpin City Council, law enforcement agencies found unregistered automatic weapons and more than 250 cartridges of various calibers.
Three organizers of the raider seizure of Buchavodokanal are suspected under Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code (illegal imprisonment or kidnapping). An additional qualification of the actions of malefactors under part 2 of Article 341 (seizure of state or public buildings) and the choice of a measure of restraint in the form of detention is also being considered.
“Investigations are ongoing to bring all those responsible to justice“, – summed up in the SBU.
Recall that a day earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine neutralized a transnational criminal organization in Kyiv, which terrorized the inhabitants of the capital and engaged in extortion under the guise of a volunteer battalion.
