NOC expelled Shevchenko, Shufrych, Surkis and Belenyuk from its membership
The NOC excluded Shevchenko, Surkis, Shufrych, Belenyuk, Kozhemyakin, Zubko and Pronin from its membership, writes SID.
The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine has decided on the resignation of functionaries who were elected for the period 2022-2026.
During the General Assembly, which took place on January 13, the NOC officially approved the decision to accept the resignations of Jean Beleniuk, Georgy Zubko, Yevgeny Pronin and Andriy Shevchenko.
The NOC also accepted the resignations of Grigory Surkis, Nestor Shufrich, Andrey Kozhemyakin.
At the same time, the NOC elected Oleksandr Krykun, a Ukrainian athlete specialized in hammer throwing and Olympic medalist, as vice president of the committee. Also, the First Vice-President of the Ukrainian Wrestling Association Yuriy Kopytko was included in the NOC Executive Committee.
Recall that Beleniuk, Shevchenko, Zubko and Pronin withdrew from the NOC after the inclusion of Surkis and Shufrich in the committee. Surkis and Shufrich later resigned.
