“Paper-Prod” coveted “Obukhov 65”
Ukrainian toilet paper “Obukhov” has become the subject of theft not only by the Russians, who massively counterfeit the brand’s products, but also by individual entrepreneurs working in Ukraine, writes DC
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine stood in defense of Obukhivka, as stated in the relevant decision of the Economic Court of Kyiv.
Thus, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine filed a lawsuit against Paper-Prod Limited Liability Company to recover UAH 4,171,466.00 in fines and penalties for counterfeiting Obukhov toilet paper.
The said enterprise on the eve ignored the requirement of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine “to stop using the design of the packaging of toilet paper products under the designation “65 honest meters” and the packaging of toilet paper products under the designation “60 honest meters”, similar to the design of the packaging of toilet paper products under the designation “Obukhov 65”, without permission Private Joint Stock Company “Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill”.
“Paper-Prod” coveted “Obukhov 65”
According to the Register of Legal Entities, Paper Prod is owned by a person named Muhammadiev Mamurjon Turgun Ogly, who is a citizen of Uzbekistan.
Recall that “Obukhov” massively moonlights in Russia. In social networks, Ukrainians ridicule the aggressor for stealing toilet paper, which the Russians produce in a wrapper almost identical to the original, changing only 1-2 letters in the name: “Obukov” or “Obuhof”.
Real paper “Obukhov 65”, “Obukhov 60” is produced only by the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill. The brand itself has been a sales leader on the Ukrainian toilet paper market for many years, as it is considered one of the best offers in terms of price-quality ratio in the economy segment.
“Obukhov 65” is also exported to other countries.
