Under the direction of prosecutors, the Prosecutor General exposed and informed an advisor to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine about the suspicion of taking possession of a large amount of funds.
The advisor, in collaboration with a company director, is suspected of seizing funds from contracts for the supply of military goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The allocated funds came from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
These actions resulted in over 1.7 billion UAH in damages to the state.

“After the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the advisor entered into a criminal conspiracy with officials of a private firm to enrich himself at the expense of state funds allocated for the purchase of goods for military needs.
The dealers entered into contracts through which 1.7 billion budget hryvnias were transferred, but they failed to fulfill their obligations to supply the products. The amount of damage is clear. Just for context: the Pension Fund of Ukraine sent the same amount of UAH 1.7 billion for pensions this month.
In this case, the director of the contractor company, who is currently on the international wanted list, received suspicion in absentia for concluding an agreement with the advisor for the purchase of military ammunition and leaving the country with the money.
To compensate for the damage to state interests, funds amounting to 55 million UAH and corporate rights worth $50 million have been seized.“, – said the details of the case, the head of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police Andriy Rubel.
