Vasily Lozinsky detained for taking a bribe
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine confirmed in Facebook appeared in the media information about the detention and.about. Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Vasily Lozinsky:
“Today it became known about the detention of Vasily Lozinsky I.O. Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine due to embezzlement of budget funds.
According to media reports, NABU conducted searches and detained the deputy minister. The Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine is fully cooperating with the investigation.
Vasily Lozinsky will be dismissed from his post. The corresponding order on the preparation of the necessary documents has already been provided by the Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov“.
Vasily Lozinsky was detained in the case of September 26, 2022.
As noted by the media, law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely: 364 (abuse of power or official position that entailed grave consequences) and 368 (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official on a large scale or committed by an official, holding a position of responsibility, or by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, or repeatedly, or associated with the extortion of an undue advantage).
UP journalist Mikhail Tkach declaresthat Lozinsky was allegedly taken on a bribe of $400,000 for resolving the issue of purchasing generators. The total purchase amount was UAH 1.8 billion.
Vasily Lozinsky was Deputy Minister Alexei Chernyshev.
