The searches in the home of the former head of Naftogaz, Andrei Kobolev, are related to a criminal case involving the peaceful resolution of the issue of the Zhevago gas, according to Kobolev's statement on Facebook. He mentioned that this information was reported by Censor.NET's message. Kobolev mentioned that this was his first experience of a home search, and he returned home quickly after being notified by the house guards. He also mentioned that he and his team fully cooperated with the investigators during the search, including voluntarily providing their mobile phones for inspection. Kobolev declined to comment on the search process itself, but highlighted the formal basis of the criminal case related to the peaceful settlement of the Zhevago gas issue. He noted that there is ample public information about the case in the press and on the Naftogaz website, so he sees no need to provide further details. He also emphasized that throughout his seven years at Naftogaz, he and his team always prioritized the interests of the company and its ultimate owner, the people of Ukraine. Additionally, Kobolev mentioned that he plans to continue living in Ukraine and has no intention of giving up his private business there, despite feeling a bit disgusted by the situation.
