In Buryatia, a 31-year-old man, out of jealousy, tried to burn alive a former cohabitant with four children and her new chosen one.
On Wednesday, March 2, Lente.ru was informed by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on the night of December 31 in the village of Khasutra. The man found out that his ex-lover was allegedly dating someone else, and decided to take revenge. He made his way into the courtyard of her house with a canister of gasoline, doused the porch and set it on fire, after which he went to the house where his rival lived with his family and set fire to the wooden wall of the house. He then fled the scene of the crime.
A neighbor saved the woman from death: he noticed the fire and helped the mother and her children get out of the fire. As a result, the victim and one child received burns, and their house was completely burned down during the fire. In the second house, they saw the fire in time and managed to put it out on their own.
The attacker was detained at a livestock site near the village. A case was brought against him under Articles 119 (“Threat to kill or cause grievous bodily harm”), 105 (“Attempt to kill two or more persons, a minor or a person in a helpless state”) and 167 (“Deliberate destruction or damage to health”). property”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. During the investigation, he was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
