Ivan Agapitov has been detained in Moscow in connection with the murder of football agent Roman Bezzubov.
As it became known to Kompromat.lv, 54-year-old Ivan Agapitov was detained on Thursday afternoon in Moscow on Novokuznetskaya Street.
As Kompromat.lv reported, Roman Bezzubov was shot dead on April 14, 2021 in the best gangster traditions. His Volkswagen Touareg caught up with the BMW X5, from where two men opened fire.
The following day, a burnt car used in the attack was found in Mežaparks.
In July last year, the police issued a statement saying that law enforcement officers were looking for Ivan Agapitov and Denis Konyashkin on suspicion of the murder of Roman Bezzubov. Their exact role in the crime was not disclosed.
Crediweb.lv information indicates that Agapitov is a co-founder of the sports club Wrestling Spirit. In addition, Agapitov owned the EmmeTT enterprise in 2019.
The head of the State Police, Armand Rooks, said in June that the murder was a professionally committed crime, where each person involved had his own role and they did not know about the roles of other people.
The police are working on two versions, but law enforcement officers are inclined to believe that the crime was not related to Bezzubov’s professional activities.
Gulnara Ribakova-Brice, the owner of the X-ON car service, is under arrest in this case.
