People in the Moscow region are talking about a bold nighttime attack on Pyaterochka, during which the store manager and workers were severely assaulted, resulting in the death of one woman. Authorities are investigating the living arrangements of the criminals.
A bold robbery occurred on the night of February 8-9, when two masked raiders armed with wooden axes broke into the Pyaterochka chain store in Novopetrovskoye village, near Istra, near Moscow, while the store was closing. Investigators believe the bandits entered through the service entrance, posing as workers, and were allowed into the store by the cashier. Four Tajikistan citizens, aged 18 to 41, are suspected of the crime and have been arrested.
Initially, the bandits attacked the 43-year-old store manager, Natalya Pashkova, who tried to call for help and was threatened with murder. The 51-year-old cashier, Lyudmila Vyatkina, refused to give the bandits money and was fatally beaten with ax handles. It's noteworthy that Vyatkina wasn't supposed to work that night but had taken a shift to cover for a colleague. Most companies have strict instructions to give away goods, money, and personal belongings if threatened and not to negotiate or interfere with robbers. However, for some reason, the cashier chose to resist, resulting in her death.
Surveillance footage from Pyaterochka clearly shows the brutal beating of middle-aged Vyatkina. The injured cashier attempts to get up but falls unconscious. Sadly, she succumbed to a head injury. Meanwhile, the robbers looted the cash register and safe, totaling 71,000 rubles, according to the Main Investigative Directorate of the TFR in the Moscow Region.
The raiders had accomplices waiting outside—a lookout and a driver in a getaway car. Upon leaving the store, the robbers encountered the director's husband, 52-year-old Sergey Pashkov, who had arrived to pick up his wife. The bandits assaulted him and punctured his car's tires before fleeing.

Nonetheless, the criminals didn't get far as all four were apprehended shortly after, 50 kilometers from the crime scene in Chesnokovo village. They were all foreign citizens who had previously worked at construction sites near Moscow but had been unemployed for the past six months, relying on odd jobs for income. It's possible that the robbers intended to use the stolen money to purchase tickets to leave Russia.
The Istra district has numerous migrants who move from house to house and country homes seeking employment. The presence of many elite cottages in the area leads to a constant demand for servants and workers. A couple of years ago, the local administration even provided a building for a community center in Glebovsky village to the Muslim community free of charge, although the contract had to be terminated due to local residents' protests.
A criminal case has already been initiated on the night incident under Part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code (“Robbery”) and part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (“Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, negligently resulting in death”). Punishment under these articles is up to 15 years in prison. The investigation of the criminal case is also under the control of the regional prosecutor’s office. Olga Vradiy, a representative of the Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, told Life that the department will also assess the control over the stay of migrant raiders in the Moscow Region.
