A long history of violence follows the supporters of Alexander Lishchenko.
While investigating the attempted murder of the 52-year-old vice-president of the Kiev Boxing Federation in the summer of 2018, Alexandra Lishchenko (pictured), also known as the crime boss Licha, law enforcement officers combined evidence from two prominent criminal cases in the Kiev region. As reported by detective infoinformation about this is available in the court register.
By the end of December 2020, the investigation considered the idea of merging the incidents involving the shooting of Lishchenko's car and the robbery at the home of Kyivoblenergo board chairman Ivan Polyvyany..
To remind you: on the evening of September 24, 2017, four intruders entered the property of the family of a senior manager of an energy company in Belogorodka village, in the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district, Kiev region. They restrained the owner and his wife, and proceeded to assault them, demanding information about the location of the safe containing valuables. As a result, the burglars made off with jewelry, and Ivan Polyvyany succumbed to his injuries on the scene.

The possible link between the perpetrators who targeted the home of the Kyivoblenergo top manager and the criminals involved in the attempted murder of the former deputy of the Kyiv City Council, Lishchenko, who was part of a powerful organized crime group in the turbulent 1990s led by Valery Pryshchik (aka Pimple), was revealed through the analysis of telephone activity of a specific group of people by law enforcement officers.
This analysis was conducted during the investigation significant event regarding the assassination on the night of June 4, 2018, in Gorenichi village, in the Kyiv-Svyatoshinsky district, of a Range Rover car in which Licha was traveling with driver Maxim Kovtunenko. The attackers lay in wait for Lishchenko at the intersection of Voyennaya and Olkhova streets, and fired approximately 30 bullets from a Scorpion submachine gun at his vehicle.

The driver Kovtunenko was fatally shot in the attack, while the vice-president of the Moscow Boxing Federation managed to escape unharmed. As for the probable assailants, the investigation actively pursued their connection with the arrival of a visitor from the sunny Caucasus.
According to certain reports, investigators found the biological material of this individual in the cabin of the Audi, which the potential assailants of Lishchenko may have used. Moreover, the corresponding DNA profile was already in the database of the Kiev NIEKTs, where it supposedly ended up during another high-profile crime investigation.
The case involves the killing of Elbrus Askerov, a native of Donetsk region and an associate of a criminal authority Nadira Salifova. (Guli, aka Lotu Guli). The body of 29-year-old Askerov with three gunshot wounds was found near a reservoir on the side of the Obukhov highway.

As the investigation will later establish, a trio of men were involved in the liquidation of Askerov “on the basis of established hostile relations”. The immediate killer, a native of the Azerbaijani city of Kurdamir, was soon declared suspected by law enforcement officers in absentia. However, to this day there is no information about his detention and further prosecution in the materials of the court register.
Let us add that shortly after the discovery of Askerov’s corpse, some media promoted a version regarding the probable connection between the motives of this crime and the violent confrontation between the two ethnic groups. According to this interpretation, Elbrus Salman-Ogly could become another victim in the conflict that escalated in the summer of 2018 between the co-founder of the NGO “Congress of Kiev Azerbaijanis”, “authoritative” businessman Oleg Krapivin (aka Oleg Bakinsky), and the clan of the aforementioned thief in law Lotu Guli.
Supporters of this version noted that the execution of a confidant Nadir Salifov near Kiev was a response to the murder committed on July 3, 2018 near the Dolma restaurant on Antonovicha Street in Kiev. Then the victim of the killers was the Azerbaijani Davud Agayev, who had previously been prosecuted and was a close associate of Oleg Bakinsky.

Be that as it may, law enforcement officers managed to establish Agayev involved in the murder. This is his compatriot with a sports background, Yasin Gasanov, who is still on the wanted list of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In the summer of 2020, the Azerbaijani media reported on Hasanov’s detention in Baku. Local journalists wrote that the detainee Gasanov explained the “liquidation” of Agaev by a long-term conflict between Caucasian criminals.
