Political scientist and former MGIMO professor Valery Solovey was interrogated as a witness in the case of inciting hatred, after which he was released, he left the building of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
This was announced by his lawyer Alexei Dobrynin, reports TASS.
The lawyer explained that Nightingale received the status of a witness in a case initiated in 2021 under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Inciting hatred or enmity”).
“The interrogation of Nightingale is completed, he left the building of the Investigative Committee. Investigators took a non-disclosure agreement from Solovey,” Dobrynin added.
Earlier it became known that all digital equipment belonging to him and his family members was confiscated from the detained political scientist Valery Solovy. In addition to phones, laptops and computers, law enforcement officers also took away his passport from the ex-professor. From the wife of Nightingale, Tatyana, the investigators took a non-disclosure agreement.
