Opposition politician Alexei Navalny spoke at the first meeting of the Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow in the case of fraud and contempt of court against him.
“If someone asks me, what evidence is there that FBK* is the most honest organization. I will say that my evidence is the materials of this criminal case. There are all the translations, mine, my wife, my daughter. You uttered the phrase here that the money was stolen “for personal needs.” But there is not a single word about the fact that at least a penny of this money came to me, ”The Insider quotes Navalny.
He noted that 300 thousand people have become FBK* donors since 2011, of which only four decided to report fraud. “One is a locksmith. Who took and transferred a million rubles to Navalny. And after 3 weeks, he decides that no – Navalny is not cool, and he writes a statement, ”the oppositionist notes.
He also commented on allegations of contempt of court. Does the phrase “Your Honor, you are breaking the law” offend someone? The phrase “I’m waiting for you to finish” is an insult to whom? Judges? Prosecutor? If one can judge for the phrase “My God”, then it was necessary to write down that Navalny insulted our Lord by mentioning him in vain, ”concluded the politician.
The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow is considering the case as part of an on-site meeting in correctional colony No. 2 in the Vladimir Region, where Navalny is being held. The day before, supporters of the oppositionist published the materials of the case. They say that 4 people became victims of fraud, who allegedly suffered damage of 2.7 million rubles. Navalny’s associates questioned the good faith of the actions of the two victims. Two more, who are under criminal cases, allegedly act under pressure. Earlier, the TFR announced 300 thousand victims and damage of 356 million rubles.
