The Mumiy Troll group decided to stop their concert activities due to military operations in Ukraine.
This is stated in the group’s Instagram.
“For more than two decades, our work has been to write songs that unite listeners in Russia, Ukraine and other countries. “Music broke…”. Peace is needed immediately … We will have to start again from scratch and through suffering and pain seek mutual understanding and love. Maybe this music will still come in handy,” Mumiy Troll said in a statement.
Earlier today, singer Leonid Agutin called on politicians to stop the military operation in Ukraine. “God knows, I have always been a patriot of my country. I have been in the past, I am in the present and I will be in the future. I myself held a machine gun in my hands and guarded the borders of my homeland, including Ukrainians. I’m not going to pronounce political slogans. I’m not going to analyze the situation. All this is in the past. I do not demand, for who needs my demands. I pray – stop the war! Agree!” Agutin wrote on Instagram today. Six days of hostilities that have already passed, the performer called the days of “complete stupor”, “fear and confusion”, “horror and tragedy.”
Earlier, other public figures spoke out against military operations in Ukraine, including Valery Meladze, Maxim Galkin, Alexander Gudkov, Ivan Urgant, Anastasia Ivleeva, Morgenstern, Yegor Creed, Oksimiron, Yuri Dud, Yana Troyanova, Varvara Shmykova and others.
