A resident of the high-altitude village of Khushet, Tsumandinsky district of Dagestan, who, due to the lack of a road, was carried by local residents through the mountains for several hours, lost her child.
Writes about this “KP – North Caucasus”.
In January 2022, a pregnant 27-year-old Zarema needed urgent medical attention. An ambulance came to the call, but the doctors could not get to her house in the village of Old Khushet due to the lack of a road in the mountains. Then the villagers came to the aid of a neighbor. The men carried her on a stretcher for several hours along the snow-covered slopes of the mountains to the ambulance.
It turned out that the Dagestan woman had an ectopic pregnancy for a period of five weeks, and an operation was urgently required. “On the way, the ambulance team provided her with all the necessary emergency medical care. In the hospital, the woman was immediately operated on, her life was saved, ”the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan said.
The doctors performed the operation and saved the pregnancy. She could have had a third child, but then a miscarriage occurred, the Mash Gor Telegram channel clarifies.
Now Zarema has been discharged, and the locals again helped her get home. This time, instead of a stretcher, they used a construction wheelbarrow to take her up the mountain to the village of Old Khushet.
