The Yartsevsky District Court of the Smolensk Region has sentenced three members of an international criminal group for attacking a chansonnier’s house at the direction of a thief in law.
This was reported by the regional department of the FSB, Smolenskaya Gazeta reports.
Three defendants were found guilty of attempted murder of a resident of the Smolensk region, who is the author and performer of compositions in the chanson genre, and of deliberate destruction of someone else’s property out of hooligan motives by arson. The court sentenced each of them to one year and eight months in prison in a strict regime colony.
According to the FSB, the chansonnier posted a video on the Internet in which he spoke impartially about the activities of representatives of the criminals of the Transcaucasian republics. The 49-year-old thief in law, whose name is not indicated by the special services, sent his henchmen to punish the artist. In February 2021, FSB officers caught the criminals red-handed while setting fire to the victim’s car and apartment building.
