This time he is accused of abuse of office and embezzlement, reported in the regulation of the TFR. According to investigators, the rector, on behalf of the university, signed a contract to install equipment to provide high-speed Internet connection in his personal home. Payment for the provision of relevant services was also carried out at the expense of the university. The damage in this episode is estimated at 960 thousand rubles.
In addition, the head of the university, without concluding a lease agreement, provided the familiar entrepreneur with the premises of the swimming pool and the 1st floor of the hostel. There the businessman traded sporting goods.
Gretz was detained in mid-December last year in a case of misappropriation of university funds. He allegedly rewarded employees for installing a water treatment system in his house, bought plumbing equipment there at the expense of the university, and also appropriated part of the money paid to the contractor of the educational organization. In addition, a crypto-farm was discovered at the university, from which Gretz allegedly received income. Electricity costs for SGUS from its activities are estimated at 5 million rubles.
Already in 2022, it became known about a new episode of the case. Gretz allegedly illegally rented premises in a hostel to private companies, and took the income for himself. He also placed 3 base stations of cellular operators on the roof of the hostel. The rector appropriated half of the income.
