Hackers stole 20 bitcoins from a Muscovite’s account, worth about 28.5 million rubles.
On Thursday, March 24, reports REN TV, citing a source.
According to the publication, cybercriminals created a computer virus that could steal passwords to cryptocurrency wallets and uploaded it to a phishing site under the guise of software. Later, the victim downloaded this software, thinking that it was licensed, and entered his data there, thanks to which the scammers withdrew cryptocurrency from his account.
One of the hackers has now been detained by the police. A case has been opened against him. His accomplices are being sought.
