In Moscow, a gang of black realtors was detained for fraud with the apartments of single pensioners.

According to the agency, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs spoke about the arrest of the gang during a collegium with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The bandits used the passport details of single Muscovites and samples of their signatures to conclude powers of attorney for the purchase and sale of their apartments.
The security forces documented ten episodes of criminal activity, the damage from which amounted to 77 million rubles. The Ministry of Internal Affairs opened eight criminal cases under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud”) and two criminal cases on credit fraud.
The leader of the ethnic criminal group was a previously repeatedly convicted recidivist.
