The former FSB officer who announced the trans-crossing, Katerina Myers, was arrested for 5 days for disobeying police officers.
The reason for the detention of the girl was the American flag on her backpack. This Znak.com reported a friend of Myers Lexi Dakkar. Myers was detained on February 27 at the entrance to the Smolenskaya metro station.
“At first she was stopped because of the American flag on her backpack. You understand the current situation in the country, this is not welcome. We checked the documents, and according to the documents, Katerina is still Alexander Chumakov, ”said Dakkar.
The difference between appearance and documents aroused the interest of the security forces, they asked the girl to show the contents of her backpack in the police room. She herself told the security forces that she had an air gun, handcuffs, video equipment and a microphone in her backpack.
“Many police officers came and tried to force her to write a paper that she was going to organize riots (on February 27, a rally in memory of Boris Nemtsov and an anti-war rally on Novy Arbat took place in Moscow. — Znak.com), but of course she didn’t,” Dakkar said. He clarified that the girl was left overnight at the police station and a lawyer was not allowed to see her for more than a day.
On March 1, in the afternoon, the court arrested Katerina Myers for 5 days under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (“Disobedience to the lawful demands of a police officer”). Myers is currently on replacement therapy because the trans transition process is not yet complete. She needs to take hormones every day. At the police station and at the temporary detention center, she was not allowed to hand over the necessary drugs. Myers went on a hunger strike to protest this and her unjust arrest.
