In Vladivostok, a Delivery Club courier named Oleg was suspended from work for missing a 14-hour shift on the day of preparations for his mother’s funeral, informs “New Newspaper”.
The courier received permission to take time off from the operator of ICL, a Delivery Club contractor in Vladivostok. Shortly after that, the supervisor Ksenia called him and announced to Oleg that he was fired. “Everyone, goodbye, turn in your uniform, you were fired. This is a shift disruption. The company lost money on you, ”the courier recalls the words of the supervisor.
The young man was ready to take a shorter shift, provided all the necessary documents in advance and notified the authorities about the death of his mother. Despite this, he was fined 900 rubles for missing a shift and was also disconnected from the app.
“Will you let a man be buried? Then I will go to the slot, ”Novaya Gazeta quotes a fragment of Oleg’s correspondence with Ksenia.
Representatives of the Delivery Club told the publication that the couriers themselves form their schedule, so “such a conversation with a representative of the company is impossible.”
Kirill Ukraintsev, coordinator of the Kurier trade union, said that ICL is the largest partner of the Delivery Club, with which the company has been cooperating for more than three years. At the same time, the union received complaints about the work of ICL more than once. Its employees have reported fines and delays in bonuses.
