In Kansk, the visiting collegium of the Eastern District Military Court found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison schoolboy Nikita Uvarov, who wanted to blow up the FSB building in Minecraft; two other defendants in the case were released from criminal liability under one of the articles as having assisted the investigation.
On Thursday, February 10, Lente.ru was informed in the Eastern District Military Court.
According to the court decision, Uvarov was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of five years and a fine of 30,000 rubles. Two other defendants were released from liability under the article on training in terrorist activities, but they were sentenced to three and four years of probation for trafficking in explosives.
As it became known earlier, the state prosecutor asked the 1st Eastern District Military Court to impose real imprisonment for three Kansk schoolchildren for a period of 6.5 years in an educational colony to 9 years in prison. It was also proposed to impose a fine of 50 thousand rubles on all three.
In the summer of 2020, FSB officers accused three 14-year-old schoolchildren from Kansk of creating a terrorist community. The main evidence in the case is a chat with correspondence and plans to jokingly “blow up” the building of the special service in the Minecraft computer game. At that time, teenagers became the youngest defendants in terrorism cases.
During the investigation, the charge of creating a terrorist community was dropped “due to the absence of corpus delicti in the actions of all three.” But the accusations under the articles “Training for carrying out terrorist attacks” and “Illegal manufacture and possession of explosive devices”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation remained, as the security forces found instructions for making stun grenades and calls for partisanship in the teenagers’ correspondence. Until August 2021, the teenagers were under arrest in isolation.
