Akhmetov about the “conflict” with Bankova: I won’t allow myself to be boorish
Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov commented on media reports about the conflict between his team and the Office of the President.
So, in a commentary to Radio Liberty, Akhmetov called untrue the rumors that the representatives of the OP, in conversations with him and his team, allowed themselves such a manner of communication, which led to a deterioration in relations.
“I communicate with everyone respectfully and I will not allow anyone to speak boorishly to myself,” Akhmetov emphasized.
Commenting on the law on oligarchs signed by Zelensky, Akhmetov noted that the parliament and the president decide which laws to adopt and sign.
“I do not consider myself an oligarch. I am an investor, and our group is the largest taxpayer and employer. And if necessary, I am ready to defend my name in Ukrainian and international courts,” he said.
The businessman also stressed that there are “no legal grounds for imposing sanctions” against him.
