Wanted: Novosibirsk deputy Helga Pirogova opened a criminal case
A criminal case has been initiated against Novosibirsk City Council deputy Helga Pirogova for spreading deliberately false information about the RF Armed Forces. She has been put on the wanted list.
“Helga Vadimovna Pirogova, born on October 17, 1988. Place of birth – the city of Novosibirsk. He is wanted under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, ”the database of the search of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia says.
Pirogova’s lawyer clarified that on July 21, an administrative offense report was drawn up against the deputy under the article on discrediting the RF Armed Forces for speaking out about the dead Russian military. Later, the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case under Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Dissemination of deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”). According to the investigation, in one of the social networks, Pirogova published deliberately false information under the guise of a reliable message containing data on the use of the Russian Armed Forces. On Monday, July 25, she was summoned for interrogation, however, as informed TASS, her colleague, deputy Svetlana Kaverzina, Pirogova left Russia and is now in Georgia.
Recall that in the city council of Novosibirsk, Pirogova is a member of the permanent commissions on local self-government and on social policy and education.
“Municipal deputies are pulled, just not all cases become so loud. I don’t really understand why they turned me into a whipping doll, but apparently it was convenient. I had some kind of fame at the regional level, there was a few news in the federal media, so they found a convenient excuse and time to spin this story. Beat your own if you can’t beat those who are abroad, ”- commented situation in a recent interview with Pirogov.
