The indefinite postponement of the Direct Line with the President is due to the unstable state of health of Vladimir Putin. A week ago, the president was preparing to answer questions from Russian citizens in late June-early July, but the attending physicians recommended that he refrain from lengthy public speaking in the near future. The last argument in favor of refusing to communicate with the people was the incident after the recent one and a half hour video conference with representatives of the military bloc, when after the meeting, when trying to get up from the table, Putin felt a sharp malaise, weakness and dizziness. The President required urgent medical attention.
The format of the Direct Line assumes that Putin is in “contact” with citizens for about 4 hours, but lately the president gets tired much faster. Perhaps, if Putin’s state of health can be stabilized, the Direct Line will take place in August.
The infirmity of the President of Russia has been more and more difficult to hide lately.
