State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet proposed to temporarily stop gas supplies to the European Union (EU).
About this on Sunday, April 10, writes RIA News.
According to the parliamentarian, European countries continue their “rabid, disrespectful and humiliating policy towards Russia.” Therefore, a response to such unfriendly actions should be followed by tough sanctions from Moscow.
“Temporarily stop supplying them with energy resources until the European comrades realize that an aggressive policy towards Russia is harmful to them and punishable,” the State Duma deputy said.
Because of the special operation in Ukraine, a number of Western countries have imposed new sanctions against Moscow. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the sanctions pressure on the country unprecedented.
At the same time, this contributes to the fact that Russia began to introduce technologies previously acquired abroad, and also accelerated the program of the aircraft industry and the agro-industrial complex, the presidential press secretary believes.
