The press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus published a video with the participation of skier Yegor Shpuntov, who, stammering, explained why he performed poorly. Previously, similar videos appeared with the participation of freestylers Stanislav Gladchenko and Maxim Gustik.
“Well, I don’t appreciate myself very much. I came, in principle, to run a sprint. Well, and ran, not to say that in his strength. I do not know what it is connected with. Maybe with acclimatization. Well, most likely. The race fell on those days when there is no state and well-being, in general. Well, today I ran 15 km – not exactly my profile. I’m still a sprinter. Well… I ran, as it were, in my strength, too, ”says in the video, published in the NOC telegram channel, Shpuntov.
“Belarusian skier Yegor Shpuntov praised his performance at the Beijing 2022 Olympics,” the video was captioned. Shpuntov in the qualifying sprint race finished only in 53rd place, showing a time of 3:02.1 minutes.
