The Ministry of Justice explained why the former editor-in-chief of Ekho Moskvy, Alexei Venediktov, was recognized as a “foreign agent.”
“The Ministry of Justice explained my foreign agency – my salary at Ekho Moskvy and dividends at Diletant. And nothing else,” the former editor-in-chief wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier this week, Venediktov challenged the status of a foreign agent in court. The Cheryomushkinsky Court of Moscow registered a lawsuit filed by the former editor-in-chief of Ekho Moskvy to challenge the actions of state authorities. Recall that immediately after being included in the list of “media-foreign agents” Venediktov said that he would challenge this decision up to the Constitutional Court.
On June 10, Venediktov shared his plans for the future of Echo. He admitted that he was not going to revive the radio station beloved by listeners somewhere abroad.
“We’d better sit on YouTube,” said the ex-editor-in-chief.
Recall that in March, a pig’s head in a wig was thrown under the door of the apartment of the former editor-in-chief of Ekho Moskvy, Alexei Venediktov. The journalist published the photo in his Telegram channel. A Ukrainian coat of arms with an anti-Semitic term in German was pasted on the door.
Formerly the newspaperTop secret”wrote that oppositionist Vladimir Kara-Murza * was included in the list of individuals – foreign foreign agents, the Ministry of Justice of Russia included the former editor-in-chief of the Ekho Moskvy radio station Alexei Venediktov, journalists Alexander Nevzorov in the register of foreign media agents.
