The mayor of Ufa, Sergei Grekov, left his post ahead of schedule. This was announced by the head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov at an operational meeting, Interfax writes.
According to Khabirov, Grekov’s departure from the post of mayor of the Russian city is due to the fact that he received an offer to head the plenipotentiary representation of the republic in Moscow as deputy prime minister of the regional government.
Khabirov added that he offered to head the administration of Ufa to the mayor of Neftekamsk, Radmir Mavliev, who on Monday, February 14, terminated his powers ahead of schedule. “Today at 5 p.m., the city council will be held, where the decision to appoint Mavliev as acting will be considered,” the head of Bashkiria said.
