“I want to note that we are very closely following the further development of the situation and the mutations within this variant. Today, I want to report, (to the line) BA.2 there are 253 sequences, this is 3%. The BA.3 line has not been detected on the territory of the Russian Federation, ”Anna Popova said at a meeting of the government council for combating COVID-19 (quote from Interfax).
Cases of infection with the VA.2 variety were detected in Moscow, the Rostov region, Bashkiria and Mari El.
