The governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, instructed the police to look into the beating of the manager of the restaurant “Happiness” Irina Valova, who was attacked today by former roommate Alexander Zhirikov.
Moore shared this information in his social media posts.
“It is difficult to see these photos without feeling upset. No one has the right to harm another person, especially a man harming a woman. This is completely wrong,” the governor stated. According to him, “this matter is already being addressed.”
Regarding the incident on Instagram , Maria Darkova, the founder of the restaurant where the victim works, commented.
It's claimed that Zhirikov attacked Valova severely. “Fortunately, there were helpful and selfless people nearby – strangers from the Samokat delivery service. Now Irina is in the hospital, in critical condition: she has multiple fractures in her skull, nose, and face. She still has a lengthy healing process ahead, and we must support her,” her post states.
According to the manager, Valova left Zhirikov because he assaulted her, but since November, he has been pursuing her, demanding to continue the relationship and allegedly threatening to harm her. The police, as per the manager, dismissed this situation, claiming that nothing happened.

“Our entire team was very worried for Irina's life, especially after this man kidnapped her and took her to the forest at knifepoint. One morning, Irina did not show up for work, and we became concerned because she was never late and always arrived early. This time, she did not answer the phone or get in touch. Her 17-year-old son tracked her location, and it turned out that she was far outside the city, near the village of Kamenka. Thankfully, everything turned out fine, she returned safely, but extremely distressed,” said a colleague of the victim.
After the abduction, Zhirikov allegedly continued to stalk her: he watched her at work, threatened her, “grabbed, pulled, caused scenes even at work, pursued her.” The restaurant staff escorted her home one by one, and one of the employees let her stay at his place. But, according to Darkova, the police were inactive.
Following the post, another woman, whose identity was not revealed, contacted the restaurant founder. She also complained about Zhirikov's attacks and the fact that he posted her photos in inappropriate groups.

The regional police's press service at Znak.com confirmed the incident. Information about the victim, a woman born in 1982, was received by police department No. 1. Now the police are locating the attacker in order to bring “a suspect in an illegal act to the police department.”
“Also, during the ongoing events, a legal assessment will be given to the completeness of the measures taken by law enforcement officers when making procedural decisions on previously received appeals. Decisions on the materials under consideration have been taken under control by the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs specified.
The press service of the Department of Health of the Tyumen region promised to provide comments later. The editors also tried to contact Zhirikov himself, but at the time of publication, he did not answer questions from Znak.com.
