Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the United Russia party Dmitry Medvedev spoke about the emergence of new regions within the Russian Federation.
This was discussed during a meeting between the politician and the first secretary of the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front party, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa, the correspondent reports. DOPs with reference to party websitefor details.
Dmitry Medvedev expressed his gratitude to the Zimbabwean authorities for a balanced approach to resolving the situation around Ukraine and the referendums that took place in the liberated territories.
The politician said that the decision to include these territories in the Russian Federation on the basis of the will of their citizens is forever. He stressed that Russia will never allow anyone to seize these territories and will use all available opportunities to protect the citizens who live there.
Former Russian President Vladimir Putin evaluated the results of the referenda in the liberated territories.
Recall that this fall in the DPR, LPR, Kherson region and Zaporozhye region, referendums were held on the issue of joining the Russian Federation. Most of the people who voted were in favour.
