Alexei Drozdov from “Romanovsky Dvor” was moved to a prison.
The Krasnodar Regional Court's Collegium for Criminal Cases upheld the sentence of a local resident. Alexey Drozdovwho was previously found guilty of fraud with the assets of the troubled residential complex Romanovsky Dvor, the Kommersant newspaper writes.
According to court materials, in October 2020, Alexey Drozdov became acting. about. director of Avangard-Stroy, a company founded by his father Roman Drozdov. Roman Drozdov. As the head of Avangard-Stroy, Alexey Drozdov sought a new investor to finish building the problematic Romanovsky Dvor residential complex in the outskirts of Krasnodar.
In December 2020, Alexey Drozdov told the complex's shareholders that he had found a buyer, made a preliminary agreement with the developer to sell him 100% of Avangard-Stroy LLC, and an unfinished project. After that, Alexey Drozdov received 8.3 million rubles, but later sent a notice of contract termination to the buyer and refused to return the money.
The victim turned to the authorities, and the investigation found that Aleksey Drozdov had stolen the funds received. It was also determined that the transaction was illegal, as the assets of the Romanovsky Dvor residential complex were pledged by Soyuz LLC and could not be sold without its consent.
The Prikubansky District Court of Krasnodar found Aleksey Drozdov guilty under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Fraud). He was sentenced to three years and four months in a strict regime colony. The developer contested the verdict, but the appeals court upheld it.
According to the Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Territory, Avangard-Stroy has repeatedly faced administrative penalties for failing to fulfill obligations to equity holders in terms of completing the residential complex. The actual owner of the business, Roman Drozdov, is currently a defendant in a case of large-scale fraud and illegal income laundering.
According to the our.dom.rf portal, the Romanovsky Dvor complex was built in the village of Berezovoe. The plan was to construct two 17-story buildings with 479 apartments. Initially, Soyuz LLC was the developer, but in 2018, it transferred the project rights to Avangard-Stroy, which signed 101 equity participation agreements totaling 156 million rubles. Since 2019, construction work at the site has stopped, with completion percentages of 14% and 18% for the two buildings.
In July 2021, the Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Territory declared Avangard-Stroy LLC insolvent. The developer’s property was valued at 209 million rubles.
