The Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) confirmed that they are investigating the case of giving a bribe of 18 million rubles to law enforcement officers.
This was reported to Lente.ru on Monday, February 14, in the administration of the TFR in the Samara region.
On February 12, it was reported that in Samara, during a special operation by the regional department of the FSB, three Russians were detained while trying to transfer a bribe. Among them, according to media reports, was the son of Russian Deputy Interior Minister Igor Zubov. Together with his accomplices, he allegedly handed over money for patronage to the oil depot. He was later arrested for two months.
Deputy Alexander Khinshtein clarified that the amount of 18 million rubles was transferred for general patronage to an FSB officer who, as part of an operational experiment, portrayed a corrupt employee. The detainees also promised to pay him five million rubles a month.
