State Duma deputy Belousov received 10 years in prison in the case of bribery
The Moscow City Court has appointed Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vadim Belousov ten years in a strict regime colony in the case of taking a bribe in the amount of more than 3 billion rubles, the correspondent reported. “Interfax”.
In addition, the court imposed a fine of 500 million rubles on Belousov. and deprived him for three years of the right to hold positions related to the implementation of the functions of a representative of power, the performance of organizational, distribution, administrative and economic functions in the civil service. Also, according to the verdict, Belousov was deprived of the state award – the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland II degree.
The court changed Belousov’s preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave until the verdict comes into force to arrest. At the same time, he was not taken into custody in the courtroom, since the deputy did not appear for the announcement of the verdict. Belousov’s defense explained his absence by employment.
Another person involved in the case – the former chief accountant of the Chelyabinsk “First Bakery” and, as reported, Belousov’s mother-in-law Margarita Butakova – taking into account her 80-year-old age, mental state and chronic diseases, the court sentenced to five years of imprisonment on probation with a probationary period of four years and a fine of 500 million rubles
The defendants in the case were found guilty of taking a particularly large bribe (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Criminal case
According to the plot of the case, from 2010 to 2014, the defendants as part of an organized group, together with the ex-governor of the Chelyabinsk region Mikhail Yurevich and other persons, received a bribe totaling over 3 billion rubles. from representatives of the road construction holding for the general patronage of their activities.
Belousov and Butakov were not found guilty.
As follows from the data of the SPARK-Interfax system, Belousov is a former co-owner and member of the board of directors of Makfa JSC, a former co-owner and chairman of the board of directors of Pervy Khlebokombinat OJSC, which is part of the Makfa holding.
Yurevich, the founder of Makfa, is abroad and put on the wanted list.
