The Anti-Corruption Court considered and granted the request of the SAPO prosecutor to grant permission to conduct a special pre-trial investigation.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court allowed an investigation in absentia of two suspects in a new episode about the misappropriation of funds from the South Ukrainian NPP. Such decisions were made by the VAKS on December 5, Word and Deed reports.

As you know, in the same case on July 5, they reported about suspicion to the former head of the South Ukraine NPP department Dmitry Sokolov. Sokolov is now hiding abroad.
South Ukrainian NPP: investigation continues
According to the prosecution, in 2011-2012, the head of the production and technical equipment department of the South Ukraine NPP, Dmitry Sokolov, using the enterprises controlled by his accomplice, businessman Dmitry Lysenko, as means and instruments for committing a crime, abusing his official position, unlawfully took possession of the funds of the State Enterprise NNEGC Energoatom when purchasing equipment, namely air conditioning systems, refrigeration and ventilation units. As it turned out, the equipment was purchased at inflated prices, which caused damage to the state enterprise in the amount of UAH 12.3 million. Sokolov and Lysenko are also accused of another case of taking possession of the South Ukraine NPP.
Recall that the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court is hearing another case of corruption at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant. The former president of NNEGC Energoatom, Vissarion Kim, is accused of it; his son Artem; DARA Group President Eduard Samotkal; ex-accountant of Unis-Center LLC and Arstrade LLC Svetlana Kostyanetskaya and her son Anton; Dmitry Lysenko, Sergei Yurkevich, Alexei Masolobov, Alexei Rybak, Yuri Dmitrenko and Vladimir Bogatchuk.
