Samara vice-governor Viktor Kudryashov distinguished himself again. Rather, his son distinguished himself, whom the Russian official actively supports.
So, on February 24, Russian troops launched a special operation in Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrainian leader Dmitry Gordon called on the Russians to go to rallies. And the son of Viktor Kudryashov, Yuri, wrote a comment under Gordon’s post in which he unflatteringly described the current leadership of Russia.
Meanwhile, Viktor Kudryashov comments on his son’s posts, but signs the Decree on the high alert regime in connection with the arrival of refugees from the LPR and DPR. At the same time, Kudryashov’s sister lives in London, and his son moved to Batumi, where he openly continues to criticize the Russian authorities.
BRIBES, TRAVEL AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
The FSB has already raised questions for Viktor Kudryashov. So, the deputy governor of the Samara region went to his son in Georgia through Abkhazia. He did not warn anyone about his trip, but he had to do it. The fact is that in connection with the duties assigned to him, Viktor Kudryashov has access to state secrets. In addition, it is he who controls most of the financial flows in the region. Thus, there was a real threat of leakage of critical information, and Kudryashov justified himself with forgetfulness.
According to rumors, the Samara official regularly transfers money to his son and daughter-in-law. Over the past year and a half, he has transferred more than $100,000 to them. And Viktor Kudryashov himself could have received this money through bribes. Contractors are rumored to be paying him 5–15% per contract.
Why does the governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov not react to the situation with Viktor Kudryashov and his son? This really shouldn’t be surprising. The governor himself is also distinguished by scandals. For example, he recently flew to Vienna and Dubai. His companion was Vera Shcherbacheva, head of the region’s foreign relations department. It turns out that Shcherbacheva is also the common-law wife of Dmitry Azarov, but he also kept silent about this conflict of interest.
