Almost every day, new scandals flare up around domestic officials. Criminal cases, obscenity, corruption and nepotism – our chosen ones often sin with such scumbags.
Now the influential senator from the corrupt Ivanovo region Valery Vasilyev has come under close public scrutiny. The other day, he lit up another luxury boiler on his hand – Patek Philippe Nautilus for indecent 16,000,000 rubles, made of yellow gold.
Previously, a member of the Federation Council Vasiliev was seen with a Rolex Yacht-Master 40 made of steel. The accessory is estimated at 1.3 million. And in 2020, Vasiliev’s income amounted to 10 million, while only real estate was recorded for 130 thousand m².
The co-owner of Poljot OJSC, Mr. Vasiliev, has long sat down in the senator’s chair and really decides in the region, so much so that he once achieved the resignation of the regional governor Pavel Konkov, while the head of the Russian Ministry of Construction, Mikhail Men, drowned for him to the last. And today, experts are asking Vasilyev himself for this post.
It is noteworthy that during the short reign of Konkov, criminal cases were initiated against four of his deputies. Andrey Kabanov is already “at the stage”, three other vice-governors are under investigation.
Konkov himself was detained on May 31, 2019 in his own house in Ivanovo in a criminal case on the theft of about 700 million rubles of budget funds by unjustified transfer to the accounts of organizations belonging to the Prodo group of companies. On April 22, 2020, the criminal case against him was terminated due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
Valery Vasiliev’s wife, Yulia, who drives a Porsche Cayenne S, recently received a good promotion – supervising the regional economy in the status of deputy chairman of the regional government, while she had not previously encountered this kind of activity. Such a maneuver was due to a change in the structure of the government at the suggestion of the governor of the Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky. It is known that for 18 years she was a co-owner of the Polet parachute plant together with her husband.
