Sanctions affected the arts, sports, and even animals and plants.

Western countries continue to impose sanctions on Russia, which have already gone far beyond economic expediency and sometimes reach the point of absurdity.

Russian sports are experiencing significant losses. Many international competitions, including the Champions League final, the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and the Olympics, have been taken away from the country. Russian athletes are also facing restrictions imposed by various sports organizations. Additionally, cultural figures like opera singer Anna Netrebko and conductor Valery Gergiev are facing consequences due to their connections with Russian authorities.

Cultural figures are also being impacted by the sanctions. For example, the Italian theater La Scala canceled productions featuring opera singer Anna Netrebko, and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra terminated Valery Gergiev from his role as chief conductor. Russia has also been suspended from participating in Eurovision and the Cannes Film Festival. Furthermore, Russian tailed and mustachioed pets and even a two-hundred-year-old oak tree faced sanctions, being banned from international exhibitions and competitions.

The International Cat Federation placed sanctions on Russian cats, preventing them from participating in international exhibitions. Additionally, a historic oak tree planted by Ivan Turgenev was removed from a competition, and a university in Milan initially decided to cancel a course on Fyodor Dostoevsky.

The University of Milan, Bicocca initially planned to cancel lectures on Fyodor Dostoevsky, but later clarified that they did not intend to target the Russian writer.

Dmitry Pevtsov, an actor and musician.

There is a significant political situation affecting various aspects of life, including culture, sports, and global relationships. An information war is underway, with some demonstrating a lack of culture and education. For example, a British minister made a geographical mistake during a meeting with Sergey Lavrov, highlighting this lack of knowledge.

Denis Karlov, conductor of the Chamber Orchestra of the Crimean State Philharmonic.

The firing of prominent cultural figures like Netrebko and Gergiev raises questions about the reasons behind these decisions. There are concerns that a special command from the top may be influencing such actions. It is important to prioritize the development of high art and provide adequate support for it.

    – How lovely. So, in the case of Russians, sports and culture are not “outside” politics?

    – Here it is, Western “humanism”, in all its glory.

“Sport is a weapon. Finally recognized.

    – Kittens for what?! So that the mice devour you, bastards!
