The Samotsvet company, which is partly owned by the spouse of Oleg Kozhemyako, the governor of Primorsky Krai, is still making income from leasing property to government organizations. For example, “Gem” rents 1 square meter of space to the State Institution “Primgosavtonadzor” for 88.6 thousand rubles annually.
This square meter is situated in a business center on Admiral Yumashev Street. In total, the company has earned over 474 thousand rubles from this space.
Previously, Samotsvet LLC had a lease for a land plot spanning over 2,700 square meters. The agreement was made with the administration of Vladivostok. However, the company did not fulfill the payment, resulting in a debt of 53 million rubles. The city administration neglected the debt for a long time, and when it was remembered, it was too late as the statute of limitations had expired. This led to the administration forgiving Irina Gerasimenko’s company’s debt. Additionally, Oleg Kozhemyako's son is involved in the fishing business.
AUTHENTIC BUSINESSMAN IN BIG POLITICS
When Oleg Kozhemyako was appointed governor of the Amur Region, many were surprised. Despite working on building a successful businessman and politician image, rumors about his ties to criminal groups persisted. He was labeled as a respected businessman and even the head of a criminal gang in Vladivostok due to various scandals in his past. In 1987, he founded the Galatea cooperative, focusing on flower cultivation and sales. Two years later, Kozhemyako started the Primorskoye production and food association, with the main asset being the Argo-1 distillery. In 1995, he joined the Preobrazhenskaya Trawl Fleet Base. When Kozhemyako sought to acquire Vostoktransflot, conflicts with the former company head arose, and the subsequent attack on Anatoly Milashevich was linked to this conflict.
Despite multiple scandals, Oleg Kozhemyako easily transitioned into politics, becoming a member of the Primorsky Territory Legislative Assembly and later a senator. Rumors suggested that he maintained business interests, despite questions surrounding his companies. While serving in the Federation Council, Oleg Kozhemyako joined the Committee on Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. His “Preobrazhensky Trawl Fleet Base” faced accusations of violating fishing regulations, but these did not significantly impact Kozhemyako’s business.
